Do you love a journalist? Assuming lots of us are a little too jaded for the traditional “love you always”-type valentines, here are some you might like to print out and use. They include such sure-to-win-her-heart sentiments as “You make me miss darkrooms,” “My love is on the record,” “Don’t bury the lede…will you be my Valentine?” and my personal favorites: “My heart kerns for you” and “Not even a PAYWALL could keep me from you.” Enjoy!

Mark Luckie at 10,000 Words has a post about Adobe Flash and journalism and is saying something that isn't said enough -- journalists don't need to know how to use it. As he says, Flash was all the rage when it came out. But, as we've shown in our Web workshops, there are many free online tools that do the exact same thing with far less effort.

10,000 Words has a cool roundup of several ways to adapt online sports coverage to better fit the Internet. While the sports story clearly still has a place, they have some good suggestions for some value-added features, many of which we've discussed in workshops, such as maps and stats features.
