Do you love a journalist? Assuming lots of us are a little too jaded for the traditional “love you always”-type valentines, here are some you might like to print out and use. They include such sure-to-win-her-heart sentiments as “You make me miss darkrooms,” “My love is on the record,” “Don’t bury the lede…will you be my Valentine?” and my personal favorites: “My heart kerns for you” and “Not even a PAYWALL could keep me from you.” Enjoy!

As if women journalists didn’t have enough trouble in a traditionally male-dominate field, now there’s Journalism Barbie.  It’s the newest Barbie, available for Christmas.  She’s dressed in pink and has a microphone and camera and, of course, black stilettos adorned with tiny bows.  And every blonde hair is in place.

OK, admit it. You’ve never even thought of parodying the Associated Press Stylebook. But these guys (one from Texas) did, and the result is often hilarious. Written in the same tone as the “real” stylebook, this Twitter feed provides a great newsroom break. And it shows again the power of the Net—three weeks ago it didn’t exist, and now it has 40,000 followers. And that’s more than the AP Stylebook has.
